Tip your head back as far as it
will go, open your mouth, relax and try to laugh. You
really just did that didn't you? It's 1:24 a.m. and as I
sit here typing with Chi Chi snoring at my feet,
listening to it rain, I am snickering just thinking of
anybody reading this and tipping their head back! HaHa
I have two cousins that were traveling on the Parkway to
Gatlinburg. They got close to a tunnel and there was the
sign that said, "Remove Sunglasses", so my cousin in the
passenger seat did just that! We have kidded her about
that for years!
I have worked for an Orthodontist, Dr. MacAlpine for 15
years. Some patients have an incorrect jaw position. Dr.
Mac will ask the patient to bite their normal bite, then
slide their lower jaw forward to make their front teeth
touch. As I sit there, making notes on their chart, I
feel myself sliding my jaw forward almost every time! I
glance over at the parent and they are doing it too! It
cracks me up! It's kind of like Simon says, but no
Simon! :)
I think as humans we want to do what we are told, it is
a natural instinct. I think as Christians we want to do
as Jesus tells us, because doing right becomes like
second nature to us! Sadly, when we don't listen to our
conscience or the good little angel sitting on our
shoulder, we can really mess things up. We can destroy
friendships, marriages, employment and more! Luckily for
us, Jesus has given us all hope. Today, when you tip
your head back, say Thanks be to God for his love and
forgiveness!
Happy June! Sandy
If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents,
forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in
the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, 'I
repent,' you must forgive him." Luke 17:3-4
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with
all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the
second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy
neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment
greater than these. Mark 12:30-31
