Our dog Chi Chi is an interesting
little creature. She is a long-haired, beige colored,
Chihuahua. She is supposed to weigh around 7 lbs. She
weighs close to 14 lbs instead and has been on a "diet"
for 3 years! The problem is, the little dog eats
EVERYTHING! She LOVES a corn cob after you've eaten most
of it. She gnaws on it like an old manual typewriter!
She has harvested old Watermelon rinds found in the
garden and my personal favorite...a ROTTEN Gourd! She
will "try" to tear you up if you take a tasty treasure
away from her. She hardly ever begs for food from me,
but when Tim walks through the door, she dances and paws
at him for food. Why, she could live off her own fat for
months!
Interestingly enough, she knows when it is time to go
outside or come inside, she has to wait her turn! She
politely steps back and let's our big dog, Sheffield and
our cat, Ozzy exit or enter first. She has learned this,
because Sheffield will step on her and squash her little
fat guts!
Chi Chi's wise thoughts and politeness made me think
about patience. We all have trouble with patience at one
time or another. I used to hate long traffic lights!
Now, it's waiting in line at a store that bothers me,
especially when the checkout person moves like a snail!
You know all the sayings, "Patience is a Virtue" and
"The last will be first and the first will be last."
Just keep in mind, that God knows and sees all! In
Eternity, there is room for everybody! Jesus already
stood in line!
Blessings to you! :)
