”Hello
Mr. Squirrel! How are you today? I hope you like the
french fries, the chicken nugget and piece of toast that
I left for you on the window sill! I really don't know
if squirrels eat meat but I guess we will see. Oh yes,
you like the Chicken nugget! I love it when you visit,
it just makes my heart smile. You look so 'bright-eyed
and bushy tailed' today...literally! I love watching you
come to my window each day searching for food. I love it
when I have something to leave for you! It makes me a
little sad when you come to visit and you look so
distraught because I haven't put your food out yet. Or
maybe you just had a bad day in your little squirrel
neighborhood. Maybe the acorn stocks are down and the
rent has gone up on your tree! Whatever the reason, I
hope that you know that I put things out for you all the
time, you just have to climb up the wall to get them!”
There is a little squirrel that comes to my window at
work almost everyday because I leave him tortilla chips
or a biscuit. When he comes up and there is nothing
there, he lightly scratches on my window...like "Here I
am!"
It got me to thinking about if we were the squirrel in
the story and the source of food was God. That's really
kind of how it is. He puts things out for us all the
time, but if we don't get the answer right when we want
it, we get all worried. Sometimes we have to wait, climb
the wall and go through a few hard times here or there
to fully understand what he is offering us.
On this beautiful day, enjoy it and don't forget to look
up to God and see what He has for you!!
Happy Day to ya! :) Sandy
The Lord isn't slow to do what he promised, as some
people think. Rather, he is patient for your sake. He
doesn't want to destroy anyone but wants all people to
have an opportunity to turn to him and change the way
they think and act. 2 Peter 3:9 |
